We conducted a series of cycling training sessions with children in Côte d’Ivoire, including activities at the University of Cocody. The sessions focused on developing fundamental cycling skills, fitness, and confidence among the young riders.
The programme included warm-up exercises, slalom drills to improve bike handling and control, and individual time-trial activities to develop speed and performance awareness. Riders also participated in endurance and speed training sessions designed to build physical fitness and resilience.
The children showed great enthusiasm, discipline, and willingness to learn throughout the training. Their progress was visible from one session to another, particularly in their bike control and confidence. The positive atmosphere encouraged teamwork, enjoyment, and personal development.
Overall, the training sessions were successful and provided valuable learning opportunities for all participants.
